About Me

Hello my name is Maddie baker of all things gluten and dairy free.
Whaaatttt? That isn’t a proper introduction? 😉
All joking aside, I’ve been in a dilemma with this “About” page for one reason and one reason only: the length of it! First time around, too short. Second time around, too long. And if you have a short attention span or just don’t have time to read long “About” sections, that’s a problem. So, I will make this snappy…

My name is Maddie Unger and I live in a family of 6 other people.
4 of which are kids.
3 of which have special diet requirements.
What kind, you ask?
Dairy free, gluten free…
One of them is even allergic to gluten, peanuts, bananas and eggs all at the same time. This is not counting my mom, who has hoshimotos, which you can read about here.
So, what am I to do? Does this mean the majority of my family no longer gets cookies, cakes, pancakes, waffles or the extension of no dessert? Of course not! It took awhile, but I know am equipped with the knowledge to make gluten free pancakes, waffles, cakes, any kind of cookie in the cookie universe, pies, and pretty much any dessert. And I believe that you can too! I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing it. Every subscriber, every like and
recommendation, means the world to me 🙂
Love,
Maddie ❤

  2. Woohoo! Another baker of all things gluten and dairy free! 😉 I found your blog through Chocolate Covered Katie today, and I may or may not have already cooked up some deliciousness, a la you. Anyways, just wanted to leave a comment to let you know that I am loving your blog, and keep posting vegan and GF yumminess! 🙂

    • Thank you for commenting, Miranda! I am so glad you found me, too. I commend you for working on your health. It’s something that not many people do because it’s so time consuming. Good luck on your health journey! 🙂
