Yummy, banana bread inspired walnuts.
Currently, we don’t have an oven (haven’t had one since before christmas) due to renovation. You’d think one might go mad without it.
In fact, it has opened my mind to making raw desserts, and more recently, dehydrated ones. Opening the door to experimentation is a good thing, but I still want my oven back. 😉
These walnuts are super yummy and taste kinda like banana bread. Everyone in my family enjoys them except for the ones who don’t like nuts.
Banana Bread Walnuts
gluten free & vegan
4 cups walnuts (I soaked and dehydrated mine)
1 1/2 ripe bananas
1/4 cup honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 pinch sea salt
Agave nectar for drizzling
1. Place walnuts in a bowl. Using a blender, blend bananas, honey, cinnamon and sea salt.
2. Pour the mixture over the walnuts and mix well.
3. Get a dehydrator sheet and spread the covered walnuts on it. Drizzle with agave nectar.
4. Put in the dehydrator for 24 hours at 105 degrees. When done, take out and store in a glass jar in the fridge to preserve the enzymes. Enjoy! 🙂
