Chocolate almond butter.
I have been looking for a way to make chocolate almond butter for a long time, but my plans always involved cacao/cocoa powder + a sweetener such as xylitol. I tried and tried, but I couldn’t get it.
My friend then found an easy way to make almond butter. So easy that you can’t mess it up.
This post is credited to her idea.
Chocolate Almond Butter
vegan + gluten free
1/2 cup dairy free chocolate chips
1 cup or more of almond butter
1/4 tsp salt
1. Melt the chocolate chips over the stove on a low setting (chocolate burns easily), stirring occasionally. Add salt.
2. Once melted, put the almond butter in with the chocolate. Use a spatula to mix them together until the almond butter becomes…chocolate almond butter!
3. Wallah! Store the almond butter in a container in the fridge (I’m not sure if you can store it outside of the fridge). The almond butter will be kind of hard, but that’s ok. Just reheat it a little when you want to use it. Enjoy!
